Terms of Service

Last updated: 27 July 2026

This is a working draft written to accurately describe how Bridgewire actually operates today. It has not been reviewed by a solicitor. Given this service connects to people's real messaging accounts and will eventually process real payments, that review is genuinely worth getting before relying on this as your final published terms.

1. Acceptance of these terms

These terms govern your use of Bridgewire, operated by Michael Alexander Radford, trading as Bridgewire, currently operating as a sole trader based in the United Kingdom. By registering for an account, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree to them, please don't use the service.

2. What Bridgewire is

Bridgewire connects messaging platforms (currently Telegram and WhatsApp) so that messages, photos, videos, and documents can be automatically forwarded between chats you specify, according to "bridges" you configure yourself. You control what gets connected and what gets bridged; Bridgewire doesn't decide this for you.

3. Accounts and approval

New accounts currently require manual approval before becoming active — when you register, your account is placed in a pending state until reviewed. We may decline to approve an account, or may suspend or remove an existing account, at our discretion, including (but not limited to) situations described in Acceptable Use below.

You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that happens under your account.

4. Your responsibilities

  • Only connect messaging accounts that you personally own or that you have clear authority to connect on behalf of someone else.
  • Comply with Telegram's and WhatsApp's own terms of service for the accounts you connect — Bridgewire being able to technically connect to an account doesn't override those platforms' own rules.
  • Don't use Bridgewire to send unsolicited bulk messages, spam, or content that violates the law or the policies of the platforms involved.
  • Don't attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or gain unauthorised access to any part of the service, including other users' accounts or data.

5. WhatsApp connections — read this

Bridgewire's WhatsApp integration is not built on Meta's official WhatsApp Business Platform. It connects as a linked device, in a similar way to WhatsApp Web. This is not an officially sanctioned method of automated access for this kind of use, and it carries a real, documented risk that WhatsApp may restrict, limit, or permanently ban the WhatsApp number you connect — independent of anything Bridgewire does incorrectly.

By choosing to connect a WhatsApp account to Bridgewire, you acknowledge and accept this risk for that specific number. Bridgewire is not liable for any restriction, suspension, or ban that WhatsApp/Meta applies to a connected account, and cannot guarantee that a connected number will remain unaffected. If this level of risk isn't acceptable to you for a given number, please don't connect it.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Bridgewire to:

  • Send spam, unsolicited marketing, or bulk messages that recipients haven't agreed to receive.
  • Harass, threaten, or abuse other people.
  • Forward or distribute illegal content, or content that infringes someone else's rights.
  • Impersonate someone else, or connect an account without proper authority to do so.
  • Attempt to circumvent plan limits, rate limits, or other technical restrictions.

Violating this section may result in suspension or termination of your account, at our discretion, without refund.

7. Plans and billing

Bridgewire currently offers a Free plan and paid Starter, Professional, and Business plans, differing in the number of bridges, WhatsApp and Telegram connections, monthly message volume, and available features. Current pricing and limits are shown on the Billing tab within your account.

Payment processing is not yet live as of this version of these terms. Once introduced, this section will be updated to describe billing cycles, refunds, and cancellation terms in full before any payment is actually taken from a customer.

8. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms, if required by law, or if we reasonably believe your use of the service poses a risk to Bridgewire, other users, or third parties. You may delete your own account at any time from Settings, or by contacting us. Account deletion is permanent and immediate — see our Privacy Policy for what that actually removes.

9. Intellectual property

Bridgewire's own software, branding, and website content belong to us. You retain all rights to the content of your own messages and any material you send through the service — we don't claim ownership over it, and we only process it to provide the bridging you've configured.

10. Disclaimers

Bridgewire is provided "as is" and "as available." We don't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that every message will be delivered successfully — platform outages, connection issues, or changes made by Telegram or WhatsApp outside our control can all affect delivery. We make reasonable efforts to maintain the service and to notify you of delivery failures where possible.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bridgewire's total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the service is limited to the amount you've paid us in the 3 months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, or for any restriction, suspension, or ban applied to your WhatsApp account by Meta/WhatsApp (see Section 5). Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service changes — particularly once billing is introduced. We'll update the date at the top of this page when we do, and for significant changes, we'll make a reasonable effort to let active users know directly.
